Muskogee Country Club: August 25 – 26 Two Man Event Gross and Net for Prize Pool
Course handicaps will be calculated using the verified Handicap Index of each player and adjusted to rating/slope of tee box yardage. This is a Par 71 Course. Flights determined by Course Handicap (C.H.) (50-59 6,300 yds 60-69 6,000 yds. 70-79 5,700 yds. 80+ 5,400 yds.) There has been some confusion on how the Course Handicap is calculated for each tournament. It is a simple adjustment that you can do on your Ghin App. Example: Ages 50 – 59 will be playing from 6,300 yards. Gold tee rating/slope in Muskogee is 73.5/136. From 6,300 yards, this will be adjusted to 70.9/131. If the player is 53 years old and his index is 15.5, you go to the handicap calculator on the app and use “manually calculate”. Enter 15.5 index, 70.9 rating and 131 slope with par 71. This player’s Course Handicap will be 18. There cannot be more than a 10 point difference between partner’s handicap. (Handicap of 2 and 14 will be adjusted to 2 and 12)
Monday is a two-man Shamble. Shot Gun Start 12:00pm. 75% of each player's course handicap (C.H.) will be used, then divided by 2 for the Team Handicap. This will be used for Net purposes.
Example:
• If Player A has a Course Handicap of 10, and Player B has a Course Handicap of 15, the Handicap would be A player (10 * 0.75) = 7.5 and B player (15 * 0.75) 11.3. Half of 18.8 is a Team Handicap of 9.4. All scores entered on the score card will be Gross Scores. Total 18 hole score will be deducted by the Team Handicap to arrive at your Net Score. Gross 78 will be a Net 70.6.
Both players will hit a tee shot, decide which tee shot will be played, (Balls may be lifted, cleaned and placed within one club length of the selected ball) then each player will play their own ball, as it lies, from that position until the ball is holed. YOU MUST USE 5 TEE SHOTS FROM EACH PLAYER!!! You will only put the Gross score on the scorecard. Golf Genius will determine the Net score.
Tuesday will be a two-man best ball. Shot Gun Start 9:00am 85% of player Course Handicap be utilized for Net Scoring. You will only put the Gross score on the scorecard. Golf Genius will determine the Net score. Ball will be played as lies and ALL putts must be holed for score to count.
Example:
• If Player A has a Course Handicap of 10, and Player B has a Course Handicap of 15, the Handicap would be A player (10 * 8.5) = 8.5 and B player (15 * 0.85)= 12.8. Half of 21.3 is a Team Handicap of 10.7. All scores entered on the score card will be Gross Scores. Total 18 hole score will be deducted by the Team Handicap to arrive at your Net Score. Gross 78 will be a Net 67.3.
